WHAT IS MUSIC TOGETHER?
Music Together® is a research-based
music and movement program designed to support the musical development of
babies, toddlers, preschoolers and their caregivers. Recognizing that all children
are musical, and can achieve basic music competence if exposed to the proper
environment, we provide a rich array of musical experiences to unlock their
potential.
MIXED AGE CLASSES IN AN INFORMAL SETTING
Children in Music Together® mixed-age classes participate at their own levels and when they are ready--there is NO performance pressure. Children are not required to sit still; rather, they are encouraged to respond spontaneously to the musical environment. We sing, chant, move to the beat,
"jam" with instruments, and more. We strive to provide quality music from a wide variety of
cultures and musical styles.
FAMILY MUSIC-MAKING NURTURES A SPECIAL BOND
Parent/caregiver participation is an essential and delightful component of this program. Music Together gives you the opportunity to fully participate in class with your child as we explore what music sounds like, looks like, and feels like. Music Together encourages you to bring music into your family's daily life and gives you lots of fun ideas on how to do so. Together, we will encourage musical exploration and nurture your child's musical development in a safe, creative environment.
